My guess is that it is mostly the people in media and some of these "ace" journalist that are in shock. Remember that we are talking about a 43% wonder that got a second term without pulling a majority of the votes. He has 43% that would not care if he got caught turning babies into bowling balls. We have a "smallness" here that is beyond fiction.

ncs There has been a general "malaise" in the country, a being fed up with the whole Washinton mess,deceit, lies, incompetence, it had to catch up, it was just a matter of time. A lot of people, like yourself, saw it 5 years ago. A lot of people thought Reagan was a pupet, a clown, but he was the "real deal" He stood for something, The USA, The leader of the free world, he called em like he saw em "The Evil Empire", " Mr Grobechaev, Tear this wall down" "Capitalisim forever" Give me a conservative, commomn sense, upfront guy they'll always get the job done.........I'm for B1-Bob Dornan right now, bring him on, lets restore some sanity to the madness, well Al Gore for the short term, but then B1 Bob.......lets get the job done right, a 10000 Dow, Gold at 800....like the early eighties.....lets give Iraq a little of the Libya treatment...... onward and upward........Chuck....Maria B. for vice pres.

NCS, I usually don't post my political points of view, but I have to tell you I agree, you are not the only one who believed G. Flowers. But I think we are in the minority. My dad was from Arkansas and my aunts and uncles have been telling me for years about his philandering. But, I think Greenspan will not let anything dire happen at this time. I am still very high on the market and confident that if you pick the right stocks, they will do well. You will have to pick and choose carefully, and not expect great earnings for awhile, but with that in mind, I still think it will be OK. so, keep smiling and don't let anyone disuade you in your purpose. On a lighter note, I found the new thread did Willie Bonk Monica to be hysterical. You should all give it a shot, I was rolling on the floor laughing. Happy Super Bowl Sunday to all, Redhead
