Wharfie, you picked the wrong subject to switch to.

Eminent domain is by definition the appropriation of private property for public use. Virtually every infrastructure project in America was enabled through the use of eminent domain, including the roads and highways that Fauxcahontas thinks entitles her to the wealth of millionaires.

While the power of eminent domain has indeed been abused by government numerous times, in the case of the border wall this is NOT an abuse. Just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean it's an abuse of power to build it via eminent domain.

If you really want to see abuses of eminent domain, Steven Greenhut has a wonderful book on that entitled Abuse Of Power: How The Government Misuses Eminent Domain . (His focus is on how "public use" became redefined by government officials to mean "tax revenue.")
