I know but how can the parents be so weak? This isn't the first generation to go through this. It just seems to get progressively (apt word) worse. Many know no better, Technology improves certain aspects of life but erodes others. Mt feeling is that the application of technology has made us too self centered.

Okay think about this...... Kids are taught from an early age that Government supplies everything. Have you ever thought why does government want to get involved in subsidizing daycare? Control. My kids went to a 5 star day care run by a small Presbyterian church however I discovered a deep dark dark dark secret. The church only had around 100 members but they ran a daycare with about 40 kids. I ran into the church minister one day and when I saw what kind of car he drove it made me question what the heck was going on then I learned the following. You see I did the math on how much staff costs were, taxes, utilities and an estimate of operating costs and how much their take from tithes would be. My calculations showed that the church was barley breaking even and that the day care was the only way to say afloat, however when I learned what the Pastors salary was I was floored. Then It all made sense you see the Church sold its soul to the Federal Government for meal subsidies "for the children." This in turn, made the difference between a marginal operation at best to a very profitable operation that allowed the person at the top to live a rather nice lifestyle. What I have found is many Churches are doing this. Also, the federal government under TARP did all kinds of loans to churches that I can guarantee had clauses that would have allowed the Federal Government to seize control if certain clauses weren't followed. However now that Trump is in the WH the best laid plans of Progressives have been laid waste. We must hope it continues, because the next lesson children learn after subsidized daycare is Public Schools where the government provides everything. The problem is the leftists control the Schools and have 8+ hours a day to reinforce the notion that parents know nothing but the government knows best. This is where we have gone wrong. Now multiply this to all the other areas that government has a finger in something and you will see what we are battling. G-n-G
