157 Years ago ~99.9% of Slaves in the USA were owned by Democrats. And a few more FACTS related to the Democratic Party and Slave related matters :- 1) The Klu Klux Klan were WELL POPULATED by Democrats. Senator Robert Byrd was a CLASSIC EXAMPLE, having also been a "KLEAGLE", i.e. a Klan recruiter. 2) The Democratic Party was the MAIN PARTY in OPPOSITION to the Civil Rights Laws in the 1960's. 3) EVERY SEGREGATION LAW in the South, from beginning to end, was PASSED by a Democratic Legislature, SIGNED by a Democratic Governor and PUT INTO AFFECT by Democratic Officials.
