The below facts are well-know to the markets:

- 70% of Dell's components come from Asia. The should be a major beneficiary of decreased costs in Q1.
- Dell derives a miniscule portion of their sales/earnings from Asia.
- The Dell business model is proven. Furthermore, Internet sales have passed the $3 million per day mark, with several days before Christmas in the $6 million to $7 million range.

I believe you made a mistake selling some of your long position at this time. The runup in Dell was in anticipation of the market's recognition of the above-stated facts. Glad to hear you still hold a position in Dell, even if it is reduced.

I'm playing it the same way as you... just holding core position... out of margin until justified by a more positive market condition... maybe sooner than we think tho.

John:
<<<Now with all the turmoil in DC how do you think the asians will react come Sun. night. My opinion is that it is just another negative for the markets>>>
If the Asians can stop laughing about our tabloid news
long enough to think, the US equities are still the best
investment vehicle...
However, when newsmen start talking seroiusly of tossing president out of office, then Asians must be concerned about what( well, their money of course). We know that our economy can survive very well without W.C., but am not sure Asians look
at it in that manner, some having lived under under more permanent heavy-handed rulers or families for years and might credit too much significance to change in ruler(gggg).
IMO Dow not going rocketing skyward on Mon morning,
but dow is already down in response to Asia problems,so
who knows???
Hope the Packers win the game.
Rats, they are still talking about A.Gore at this moment....
