Bill Clintons personal problems could cause him to make the stupid move hoping to divert attention elsewhere. I veiw this as not only problems for the market but a serious stability problem around the world.

I've heard this is the senario of the movie "Wag the Dog"???

Now I have to go see it this weekend...so I can see how it effects the markets? Is that part in the movie I wonder?

I don't think it will take much to incite increased volatiliy into the current Asian market crisis which would be very bad for us. Yes it would distract our attention away from "Zippergate"

I believe your brother is right, especially as it concerns Russia and China on the Security Council. Russian leaders are catching a lot of flak for being American lapdogs. China is trying to carve out a stake as the number 2 superpower and a country that must be dealt with on the world scene. What scares me about Saddam is not only his willingness to use weapons of mass destruction in the region, but the possibility that they would fing their way into the hands of terrorists who would use them against us (ala World Trade Center bombing).
