Moving Avgs=basic bldg blks of Technical Analysis, true. But we learned MA's value in elementary school arithmetic, and found them useful much later in our adult lives (in Charting 101(g)) Beats relying on a twitch, viscerating goats for entrail examination or psychic network consults, agreed? I mean, you MUST use something, otherwise emotional trading takes hold... and GREED is a powerful emotion. If a trader/investor doesn't master visceral/primal emotion: GREED, they are sunk. Math is a GREAT emotional "leveler outter"... Call it basic TA if you wanna... I call it "selling when everyone wants it" before the last buyer leaves the room... Yes, O/49r is a moniker describing our California Gold Rush set off by the find of a sliver of a nugget at Sutter's Mill in Northern California.
