IF Iran decides now might be a good time to re-assess their choices.

Why would they ? Soleimani was in charge of that aspect of Iran's engagement with the U.S.

He badly misjudged his opponent and thus lost the negotiation. It cost him his life.

Others might wish to avoid similar misjudgements.
