Pretty stiff regs against herbicides in GTA.. and where my plot is located it s run by university's sustainability department.. so all organic there.. My manual weapon of choice for the buckthorn (and the friggin' volunteer maples :) is I used a tool called a Weed Wrench back when I returned to school for landscaping creds and worked a summer at the Humber arboretum (attached to the college) .. Weed Wrench went out of biz but the uprooter does a bang up job.. :) I find weeding very satisfying LOL Bernie
