Appreciate the well thought out post and I admit that occasionally something that DJT says makes me cringe a wee bit. Now much less than in the past. The first thing that strikes me is that no matter what POTUS says or does, the msn will seek to portray it in the least favorable light this is in stark contrast to how they reflect on a dim president who can do nothing wrong. The 5-10 minute a day folks will see what the media displays for them : weak, ineffective, confused, incapable etc. DJT has countered the media better than any other conservative in my life time via his tweets. It is the only way to get HIS message to the masses, at least to those who have a degree of awareness. The other aspect that is lost on many white collar / professional people is that a whole swath of this country feels that both parties have at best ignored them and at worst implemented laws that hurt their chances to succeed. Now they have a leader who fights for them. They love how he fights back, because the media attacks them on a daily basis as well. The biggest problem in the situation IS the Media who portray the squad, pelosi, schumer etc. in the best possible light and continually SLAM POTUS. 90% of his coverage is negative but like you say, his policies speak for themselves. Yet their viewership continues to tank. Unless you tune into FOX ot another more conservative station, you never get the "other side". If you watch the SOTU address, I am positive you will see more of a Reaganesque response. I marvel at his off the cuff 45 minute press conferences and his willingness to take on a combatant press. Lastly, I'd offer that DJT's combativeness won him the nomination and the presidency. The MSN attacked him with everything they had and that probably garnered him more votes than he lost. So the choice in 2020 is clear if you look at his record versus whatever flavor of socialism / Communism offered by the other side.

Thanks for explaining, John. I always wonder exactly what it is about his "conduct" that is so offensive to some. I can sometimes be borderline prudish, but I have never been offended by anything he has said or done since the ride down the escalator. I enjoy a president who is totally candid about his thoughts and feelings (and detest the phony schmooze and lies). Does anyone you talk to ever give you specifics?
