With OEM sales many users are going to wait until their 6 gig drive is filling up and then they will need to utilize Zip and disks. If you're just a home pc user you may not have enough "stuff" for a year.<<

Yeah, that's why OEM tie ratios are lower. I just expected the effects of this to be smaller.

That's certainly the perception that most people have now, but you certainly don't have to wait for your hard disk to fill up before you have a "need" for Zip disks. I think that this advertising campaign will certainly help to educate consumers about what they need to put on the Zip disks. Also, many of the new products (RecordIt, Buz, utilities with Zip Plus) help increase the "need" for disks.
