The boinking Monica thread is really nice and can be quite funny, folks. But for those of you who are too lazy or decrepit to get over there, here is an amusing joke submitted by John Bloxom:

Did you hear that Gingrich, Quayle, and Clinton were swept up by a Kansas tornado
and wound up before the Wizard of Oz? Newt asked for a heart, and Quayle asked
for a brain. Bill, of course, asked.....

"Where's Dorothy?"

Christine,

If this (whatever) indeed took place--and I'm not saying that it did--who's to say who chose whom? I don't hold anyone involved in this circus in any high or even medium regard in the character category; in fact, it's somewhere way below that. Characters? Yup, plenty of those spinning around out there cashing in on easy photo-ops and sound-bites.

I believe I mentioned that I have not been following this story in the media, but I do think there is a good chance that Miss Monica, and others, may be living a fantasy. I mean, the President is under nearly constant scrutiny. Think about that for a minute. Where would he find the time and opportunity for this stuff? The same could be said for JFK. And JFK had some serious medical problems which, I think, would have precluded him from a even a fraction of the dalliances he is said to have had.

From your cut'n'paste:

"It's Not the Crime, It's the Cover-Up11.39 p.m. ET (436 GMT) January 23, 1998WASHINGTON"

Christine, that's a lot of the problem right there! If there had been a cover-up when there should have been, none of this would be happening now. On second thought, maybe I should have taken this over to the "Boink" thread.
