Fosomax nearly killed my mother.....and then ultimately did. She would take only limited D3 as she was just sick and afraid of taking any thing else that was supposed to improve her bone density. In the end her hip shattered, she fell, and it was all over from there....a terrible six months followed.

My friend has so many stones he goes to hospital almost yearly to have

That used to be me.. I had multiple Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL)

and one percutaneous.. (small incision) as the first operation.. When my then 3 year old came to visit me in hospital.. and she and I were close as I was stay at home dad with my own software consultancy.. she was terrified .. I looked like a Borg with all the tubes,,,

I am up to 12K now actually but was mostly 10K during the time that the stones stopped being an issue..

I also mentioned the hydration previously.. min 3 litres daily even in winter.. LOTS of exercise.. walking is awesome and so underrated.. Lemon juice in my case or the calcium (most common type) oxalate stones I suffer from..
