It is never a bad move to be cautious especially as you get older.
I am certainly not fighting the market as you suggest.
I have always been quite open about my investment strategy and current position. I follow my model which remains at an elevated BUY rating . I will however from time to time limit my exposure, not by selling out but rather by taking insurance in the form of offsetting short positions.
The address by POTUS today was reassuring and offered a path forward in the Middle East. That should return some exuberance to this bull market.
In the days ahead I will reassess my need to continue with a reduced net exposure to the market.
