'Voodoo' Economics!
Tommaso speaking of 'Regan boom',wasn't he a devout practioner of 'Voodoo' economics (aka Supply Side economics)? If I remember correctly there was this economist from Pepperdine (forget the name)who is/was a staunch proponent of this and was a Regan Advisor, don't see him around much these days though. Some say the 'Regan boom' was a mirage and some say it was the best thing that happend to America.Have you any thoughts on this?

This is also my last word on the matter Tommaso. To give the most powerful man in the world credit for six years of " not doing any damage"in turbulent and dangerous times , is a non accomplishment. He has accomplished this great feat while continuing to drain $1.6 trillion/year from the economy.
This is not about how many girls he's slept with, its about CHARACTER. Yes, there's that word again. We last heard in the campaign when so many people said only issues matter. I submit that only character matters. The issues will change but character that is enduring. If there is non then the difference between the truth and a lie is simply a matter of one's perspective.
The comparison with Al Capone is simply about the severity of the crimes commited. Crimes can be committed by learned people as well as ignorant. The fact that he is a Rhodes scholar is a disgrace to that institutuion not a testament to the man.
Tommaso I respect your knowledge on financial matters and I have learned a great deal from you as well as others on this thread. But on this matter, there is no gray zone.

Respectfully
Ramsey

Thank you Tommaso for your level headed response to this nonsense!

The Ultra-right-wing conservative political cults in this country (USA) get very sanctimonious when it meets their purpose.

In return, they give us Nixon, Agnew, Reagan, Gingrich, Helms, to name a few pond scum who deserve nothing but contempt.
