The possibility is always there. If a dozen Iranian rockets were taken out by anti-missile defense, one could have struck the plane. (The ones that you call pin point accuracy that missed everything)

Now who's fault would that be during a rocket attack by Iran on American soldiers and bases and who allowed that plane to take off during rocket attacks on American soldiers and American bases?

AFAIK Trump was not an air traffic controller at Tehran airport.
