Thanks. RAVI -- is invested in longer term debt than money market (50 days), and in public debt. The price has been somewhat stable, but will move with interest rates. But certainly not as much as a longer term fund. "Past price moves are not an indicator of future stability". It is an option. Double VMFXX's expense ratio. Prob safer than some utilities or other commons paying 2.5% :o)

The fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing at least 80% of its total assets in a non-diversified portfolio of fixed-income instruments, including bonds, debt securities and other similar instruments issued by U.S. and non-U.S. public and private sector entities. The dollar-weighted average portfolio maturity of the fund is normally not expected to exceed two years.
