hehe...soup, like I said it's all 20-20 hindsight. If it really were THAT predictable we'd all be (or more) filthy rich by now.

I didn't intend to imply that Apple is a "buy on rumor sell on news stock" at all. The events that have unfolded in the last few month may have made that the case but my intention was simply to show that Apple goes through these 10%+ jumps in anticipation of various scheduled events.

I completely agree with you that Apple is in a transitional state. Prior to this last quarter, there were predictable spikes but the stock generally retreated post the event because earnings weren't there to support the move. Now that Apple is in the black and the results of its improved health are begining to show, I expect that we will see similar hikes in stock price prior to events but this time around we should see much better support post these events.

Trust me soup, I'm holding my shares...:)
