China is a much larger country and its economy is growing rapidly from a much lower base. Not even you NPR listening Democrats should think we could grow our economy as fast as theirs. Prior to the Iraq War, the US GDP was 8 times the size of China's and our debt to GDP was minimal. ------------------------------------------------------------------ As far as our debt to GDP, we're now increasing it twice as fast under Trump as we did under Obama. Today, China has an almost equal GDP and our debt to GDP is over 100%. ------------------------------------------------------------ Neither American economic growth slower than China nor American debt buildup is due directly to the overthrow of Saddam. There was no happy balance of power that controlled Iran - that's a myth that you Saddam loving Democrats thought up. All hell didn't break lose when Saddam was removed ... Saddam had already started two wars before we got involved. remember that Saddam was the arch enemy of Iran and kept a balance of power in place. So we removed that balance and all hell broke lose. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Our military should be used for defense and for punitive measures when retaliation is necessary to establish deterrence. We should never use our military to nation build or to occupy other countries. Time to bring our boys home. So you think nation building didn't work in Europe or Japan? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- . Hillary and Obama were war mongers. You lefties say the same thing about Bush and Reagan and hell, Carter, Nixon, Ford, LBJ, JFK ..... ------------------------------------------------------------------------- We are in Syria because of Obama's failed red line and Hillary's promise to oust Assad. Trump says we're in Syria to take their oil. I guess you oppose him, right? ----------------------------------------------------------------- Its nice to say we shouldn't police the world, we tried that in the pre WWII era and it led to global war.
