Trump re-election campaign bags $5 million on impeachment day

As the House voted to impeach the president, the Trump campaign pulled in $5 million on Wednesday as donors rushed to pad the campaign’s war chest with more money. Impeachment has been good for the Trump campaign — and to Republicans who pulled in a record $20.6 million in the month of November alone.

The haul is the best November fundraising numbers for the party in its history.

It was the best November on record for the RNC, the committee said. The RNC holds $63.2 million in cash on hand, the most since the 2012 election cycle.
