I enjoy your posts, they make me think. I agree
with your concern about the far reaching arm and
power of the IMF. My guess is that the IMF tries to curtail military aggression as well. Here's how: Economic and political unrest ultimately leads to social unrest and civil upheaval. Desperate leaders will take desperate measures to insure internal stabiity. Military aggression is never out of the question. A monetary bail out seems preferable to the IMF.

I expect considerable volatility this coming week, but at this point, I'm short bonds and SP's. I don't think these problems will go away so quickly.
