Stopping Huawei seems not such a great idea either. I agree with the USA worries that security of information is important, but there's encryption for that and punishment for misdeeds. Meanwhile, the kidnapping of Meng Wanzhou continues in Canada as far as I know. China should arrest half a dozen Canadians and accuse them of stuff and tell them the legal system will grind away for years costing a fortune and achieving nothing. I hate lawyers and courts and politicians and governments with a vengeance. If legal systems can't function in minutes, hours or maybe a few days then they are unfit for purpose. They need to be replaced. For a start, throw out nearly all of the regulations, laws, hassles, red tape and kleptocracy. Keep only actual crimes with actual victims. If Meng committed fraud on a bank, that shouldn't take a year to figure out. If extradition is required, that shouldn't take long either. We have the same absurdity in NZ with USA wanting Kim Dotcom, to apply cruel and unusual punishment = torment by lawyers for allowing copyright infringement, just as I did by providing WiFi services to people who I know didn't just commit copyright fraud but sent all sorts of criminal data such as child pornography. Governments allow burglars and murderers to use roads for commission of their crimes. Same thing. Meng should be released. So should Kim Dotcom. Kim Dotcom was illegally arrested and harassed by bungling police and others. I think I'd rather have Huawei as my spy than the NSA because China can't do anything to attack me but the NSA can. So down with Apple the Evil and hooray for Huawei. Mqurice
