It seems you actually can understand why the thought of you collecting benefits from Medicare and Social Security makes Mitch McConnell and most Republicans in office wish they could smack your head off with a baseball bat. It would be different if Republicans had decided to give you Medicare and Social Security as a voluntary gift, but you strong-arming them, claiming "I'm entitled to it" makes their skin crawl.
