Pat: I'm looking forward to your report from ComNet! The EE article made it sound like TI is going to announce release dates on their chip set...

....In theory, the DSL SIG's backing of splitterless technology could require quick redesigns of first-generation chip sets. These include the long-awaited CopperGold transceiver from Motorola Inc.; the DMT ADSL chip set from Analog Devices Inc. and Aware Inc.; and a solution due this week from Amati Communications Inc. and new parent Texas Instruments Inc....

I haven't seen the IBD news... until later.

Pat, I though you bought WSTL? It is not listed on your SI profile.

Bill and Pat, Why aren't you Posting these important/interesting WSTL related posts on WSTL board?

<< I'm not completely surprised b/c I knew LU had been in talks with TI for DMT. I
think those talks fell out, and I don't know if they're going to push ahead with their
own or if they're talking to ADI. >>

Pat,

Why would LU talk to ADI to get DMT? Is this a possible dsp/with another chip? If things fell out with TI/Amtx, then wouldn't Awre be the place to go?
