I think Witness by Whitaker Chambers documented a lot of it. I have read some of Coulter books but I found her didactic, sanctimonious and irritating. I think much of her analysis is spot on, but she is like nails on a chalkboard for me. Some of her tweets are still amusing. She thought she could dictate to the president
