Excellent analysis. I think you hit the nail on the head. Profits are primarily from overseas and prominently from Asia --> a p/e haircut
while this weighs on peoples minds.

Do you have any opinion on either CCIR or ALRN? Both seem to offer good value at the current price. ALRN's release talks about new programs in Q4 and CCIR valuation looks low. In this kind of market,
my personal preference is companies selling at low p/e's where the chance of further shrinkage is low and the chance of expansion is high. (Should have asked this on ECM thread - perhaps respond there?)

Paul-Your responses to my questions were excellent.Sometimes I get
disappointed with some posters who hype a stock, distort the truth,
never lose money,or criticize others for not agreeing with them.
Posters like you(et al) renew my faith in SI and similar web sites.
Thanks.

David

Been trying to do some digging on the two acquisitions:

On conference call, I thought Marks said SJ facility is $100mm of revenue on one shift and would be expanded to 3 shifts and ~$300mm of revenue.

If he paid only 530K shares for both facilities, seems like an incredible deal, especially if he has business to immediately fill SJ facility. Am trying to confirm both purchase price and share count. Let me know if you find out anything new.

Solectron announces what Flextronics has and stock trades up $2.

Solecton announced a new product introduction center in Sweden. Likely an attempt to focus on winning more Ericcson business.

Flextronics already has this capability in place as in Sweden as well as the Ericcson facility. Interesting that Flex seems to get no credit for this strategic relationship upside when on a relative basis versus their current size it is much more meaningful to them than it is to Solectron.

My opinion.
