It's not a debate. Obama actually did do a deal with Suleimani to fight Sunnis. In addition, the US actually did create Osama Bin Ladin. These are just historical facts. As to Bush refraining, I don't think he had an opportunity to take him out.

Also, the Democrat talking point that this was an illegal act is total bunk. Suleimani was an enemy combatant and leader of terrorists, whose sole purpose in the non-Iranian Middle East was to lead the IRGC and to fund, lead, and support terrorism in multiple countries against the enemies of Iran, including the US. When he was killed, Suleimani was in an active war zone, Iraq, where American soldiers have died because of his actions. As a result, he falls under the rules of enemy combatants. You fight the US and kill our soldiers, then you can be killed in war. That's how the law plays out. End of story.
