Holly, Holly, to suggest that the deregulation of the airline industry has been nothing short of a spectacular success is to ignore reality. Deregulation took what used to be a mode of travel for the lucky few (the wealthy) and gave it to the middle class. The only reason pilots dislike deeregulation is because it turned airports into buss terminals. They used to be reserved for only the high class elites. The need for better fuel efficient airplanes has created a boom for Boieng and thousands of other airospace companies. Would you really want to go back to the day's of regulated air travel?? As for your assertions that people were thrown out of mental hospitals because of Reagans policies. That's simply untrue. I have always admired your ability to not just take what is in the headlines and believe it as truth. I recommend you do some investigating on this topic. That's just one of many tired old cliche's repeated so many times in the press that good people like yourself take it as fact. Here's an interesting study regarding the Reagan record on a variety of issues. Not a study your likely to read in the mainstream press. :-) cato.org Michael
