Ever since Donald Trump was abruptly taken to Walter Reed Medical Center for unknown reasons that his White House went to great lengths to cover up, questions have abounded about his physical and cognitive health. He struggles to get through brief prepared speeches. He’s increasingly having trouble speaking basic words. His tongue weirdly pops out of his mouth while he’s speaking. Today, the whole thing got even worse.

Trump held a brief press conference in the Oval Office today to brag about one of his phony accomplishments. It didn’t go well. As numerous observers have pointed out, Trump’s handlers gave him a map of the USA to use as a prop during the event, but he left the map untouched on his desk the entire time. When the event was over, Trump tried to say “thank you” – and let’s just say that his mouth ended up doing this:

It’s horrible and outrageous that the president of the United States is delusional, a pathological narcissist, a pathological liar, a sociopath, a psychopath, and a criminal.

But I must confess that sometimes what I find more galling is that he’s a complete idiot.

To be clear, that video is not altered. That’s not slow motion. That’s Donald Trump, in real time, trying to get the words “thank you” out of his mouth. Plenty of people get tongue tied on occasion, but for Trump, this kind of thing keeps happening with increasing frequency and severity. We’re not doctors, so we can’t tell you precisely what’s wrong with him. But something is very wrong with Trump’s face, tongue and mouth – and the public deserves to know what he and his handlers are hiding from us about his health.
