Oh good grief, if you called for an investigation of Trump's kids I would have more sympathy with your view. The truth is, they have profited far more from their association with their father than Hunter has with his. Not to mention Trump himself and his own father. Personally, I would welcome an investigation of Hunter and Joe. The same thing would happen as has happened with the nine or ten investigations of Hillary -- they would find nothing culpable. But Trump still has them chanting "Lock her up", lol. If you don't find that absurd, then you lack a sense of absurdity and proportionality.

One thing that Parnas brings to the table is actual proof of what most people are already pretty sure of what went on. So there are a whole handful of fig leaves that can no longer be hidden behind. Just more nails in the coffin, as it were.

Surely all the other fact witnesses can refute Parnas in the trial. Isn't that what should happen? Will Trump allow it? Can he stop it? If Trump doesn't allow witnesses and documents, America will know this is a totally fixed, sham trial, rigged to protect Trump by the Republicans. Good luck with that in 2020.

Trump probably did want both the Bidens investigated. But he should have. Trump voters, remember us...half the country, want them thoroughly reamed out. I was following your argument until you got to that. The question remains: why the Bidens? I am not sticking up for them but rather recognizing that that kind of soft corruption is common and legal. There is plenty of hay to be made elsewhere. So, then, why would the Bidens, in particular, be so stuck in half the country's craw? What would justify the extraordinary and dramatic and secretive extent to which the effort was taken? It distracted top officials from their day jobs, threatened the security of both Ukraine and the US, and created an international incident, for heaven's sake. There "does not appear to be" a good answer for that.
