I wanted to post that Trump Impeachment Brief, but it is in PDF, and I haven't figured out how to change it to Word - even though I have been told I should be able to do that.

The Brief lays out the whole case against impeachment in language that is easy to understand - even for mentally-challenged Demos.

It is written by Jay Sekulow and Pat Cipollone - two of the Presidents attorneys.

I'm going to put a link in the Thread Header.

MSNBC Falsely Claims Gun Rights Rally Filled With ‘White Nationalists, Armed Militias’

Kyle Drennen is the Senior News Analyst for MRC
newsbusters.org

During his 11:00 a.m. ET hour show on Monday, MSNBC anchor Craig Melvin falsely and outrageously claimed that a gun rights rally taking place in Richmond, Virginia was being attended by “Armed militia, white nationalist groups from all over the country.” Despite having no evidence of such a claim, he repeated his assertion while introducing a report on the peaceful demonstration.

“This is the scene in Richmond. Armed militia, white nationalist groups from all over the country taking part on MLK day,” Melvin ranted as he teased an upcoming segment on the rally. He warned that the event was “Raising fears of a dangerous confrontation” in the capital of the commonwealth.

Minutes later, while teeing up a live report from the protest, Melvin again lied to viewers: “Right now, thousands of guns rights activists, white nationalists, militia groups all swarming the Virginia state capitol in Richmond.”

Reporter Cal Perry feared: “Thousands of people, as you said, heavily, heavily armed....And lawmakers will tell you that is an intimidation tactic. That they are trying to change or stop the legislation that will be enacted soon.” He eagerly touted the new gun restrictions since recent state elections “flipped Virginia blue.”

“Now, the concern is that these militia groups, some of these more extremist groups....Authorities are worried those groups will come into town and we could see a repeat of what we saw in 2017 in Charlottesville,” Perry declared.

Without evidence, Perry then claimed that he saw “militia leaders” who took part in Charlottesville “on the ground this morning.” He never identified any of those people or showed any footage of such groups taking part in the Second Amendment rally.

“As of right now, everything is quiet, everything is peaceful,” Perry was forced to admit. Though he lamented the fact that “there are no counter-demonstrators” and how “This is a very pro-gun rally, it is still a very one-sided rally.”

Earlier in the day, all three network morning shows predicted Charlottesville-style violence at the upcoming gun rights demonstration.

The fake news and fearmongering being pushed by liberal media on this story is disgraceful. The unfounded accusations being hurled by reporters and Virginia Democrats against citizens peacefully exercising their First Amendment rights is the worst kind of libel.

Here is a transcript of Melvin’s January 20 coverage:

11:40 AM ET

CRAIG MELVIN: This right now folks is a live look at the pro-gun rights rally happening outside the Virginia statehouse. This is the scene in Richmond. Armed militia, white nationalist groups from all over the country taking part on MLK day. Raising fears of a dangerous confrontation there in Richmond, Virginia. We’re gonna get a live update from on the ground next.

(...)

MELVIN: Right now, thousands of guns rights activists, white nationalists, militia groups all swarming the Virginia state capitol in Richmond. They’re protesting state bills there that would limit handgun purchases. The bills would also require background checks as well. NBC’s Cal Perry is on the ground there in Richmond. What’s the scene right now, Cal? How are things?

CAL PERRY: Thousands of people, as you said, heavily, heavily armed. I’ll get out of the way and give you an idea of what we’re seeing here. We are outside the enclosed area around the capitol, where guns are banned today. And so, what we’re seeing are people who have come out here with assault rifles, with pistols. And lawmakers will tell you that is an intimidation tactic. That they are trying to change or stop the legislation that will be enacted soon.

And we should remind our viewers it was the midterms that flipped Virginia blue. The statehouse is now Democratic. So they are able to push through these restrictions. As you said, one handgun per month restriction, background checks, and some red flag laws.

Now, the concern is that these militia groups, some of these more extremist groups, and we have seen arrests across the country, at least seven people arrested in the last 24 hours, both here and in the state of Georgia. Authorities are worried those groups will come into town and we could see a repeat of what we saw in 2017 in Charlottesville.

I can tell you that a number of those militia leaders actually signed agreements that they would not return to Charlottesville and we have seen them on the ground this morning. As of right now, everything is quiet, everything is peaceful. Frankly, because there are no counter-demonstrators. This is a very pro-gun rally, it is still a very one-sided rally.

MELVIN: Alright, Cal Perry. So far, so safe, it would seem. Hope that that’s the case throughout the next hour and a half or so. That rally set to wrap up around 1:00. Cal, thank you.

When MLK Jr. accepted a Planned Parenthood award, they were still publicly against abortion
Scarlett Madison

noqreport.com

Here’s a bit of a history lesson. Planned Parenthood’s initial goal, at least publicly and politically, was to promote birth control. They expressed opposition to abortion until the 1970s, even handing out pamphlets that warned against women attempting to have abortions.

“Is birth control abortion? Definitely not. An abortion kills the life of a baby after it has begun. It is dangerous to your life and health. It may make you sterile so that when you want a child you cannot have it. Birth control merely post-pones the beginning of life.” (Is Birth Control Abortion, Planned Parenthood pamphlet, Aug. 1963, p.1)

This is extremely important to understand because there’s a perennial disinformation campaign that happens on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day that highlights the fact that Dr. King accepted the Margaret Sanger Award in 1966 from Planned Parenthood. They use this as “evidence” that Dr. King supported their mission, and technically he did. But what they never mention is that the mission he supported was for birth control and not for abortion. In fact, at the time he accepted his award, Planned Parenthood had not performed a single abortion, at least none acknowledged to the public.

Historians believe based on public and private engagements with Dr. King that he was adamantly pro-life but very supportive of birth control. He condemned abortion as genocide against his people in multiple public speeches; African-Americans have always held the lion’s share of abortions even before it was legalized by Roe v. Wade. He felt that birth control was a better solution, preventing the murder of abortion by reducing its predication of conception.

Does this mean Planned Parenthood was pro-life at any point? No. It is widely believed that their objections to abortion were used as political ploys to help them promote their birth control agenda. The very foundation of the organization by Sanger and her cohorts was to legalize birth control in an effort to reduce population growth by African-American. As LifeNews noted in 2011:

Planned Parenthood used Dr. King in order to promote birth-control; a practice he would have vehemently agreed with. But today, pro-Choice advocates use the memory of Dr. King to promote abortion; a practice which he vehemently disagreed with.

“The mass of Negroes, particularly in the South, still breed carelessly and disastrously, with the result that the increase among Negroes, even more than among Whites, is from that portion of the population least intelligent and fit.

“The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population and the Minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.” (Black Pro-Lifers March, Protest Racist Nature of Planned Parenthood and Abortion, p.1 online)

Do not let Planned Parenthood tarnish the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by association. He was pro-life and when he accepted their award, they were not committing abortions. He and they promoted birth control at the time, nothing more.
