Joe Biden Campaign Threatens Liberal Media Against Reports on “Debunked” Hunter Biden Pay-for-Play Scandals

Former Vice President Joe Biden warned the liberal mainstream media today against reports on his son Hunter Biden’s pay-for-play scandals.

Joe Biden insisted the several scandals involving his son have all be “debunked” which is complete nonsense.

Joe and Hunter Biden golfing with Burisma officials.

This happened on the same day that five members of Joe Biden’s familywere accused of enriching themselves thanks to Joe Biden’s lifelong ‘career’ in politics. Author Peter Schweizer described the findings in his new bookin a New York Post article shortly before its launch date.

Politico reported:

Joe Biden’s campaign issued a memo to media outlets on Monday warning them against spreading “false accusations” driven by President Donald Trump and Republicans against the former vice president.

The memo, released a day before the start of Trump’s Senate impeachment trial, says there is “no evidence” for disproven claims pushed by the president that Biden sidelined a Ukrainian prosecutor who was investigating an energy company that his son, Hunter, held a high-paid position with.

Trump pushed a “a malicious and conclusively debunked conspiracy theory” about Biden, deputy campaign manager Kate Bedingfield and senior campaign adviser Tony Blinken wrote. “Not only is there no evidence for the GOP’s malicious attacks on the Vice President, those attacks have been actively debunked.”

The memo represents an especially strong rebuke of the GOP-backed conspiracy theories, which media “must state clearly and unambiguously that they have been discredited and debunked by authoritative sources,” Bedingfield and Blinken said.

“To fail to make clear that the conspiracy theory and false accusations about Joe Biden have been comprehensively disproven, to artificially prop-up these egregious lies based on the ‘principle’ that if partisans make accusations, they have to be treated as legitimate regardless of the facts, is to make you an enabler of misinformation,” the memo warned reporters and media outlets.

McConnell introduces resolution with timeline for Senate impeachment trial

dailycaller.com /2020/01/20/mcconnell-resolution-timeline-senate-impeachment-trial/

January 20, 2020 7:18 PM ET

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell introduced a resolution Monday that would put a start to President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial in the Senate with specific timeline.

The resolution, which will be voted on Tuesday, would give both sides 24 hours to argue their case over two trial days. Senators would then be given 16 hours for questioning. The schedule would mean 12-hour days of argument in the Senate, according to Business Insider. The impeachment trial could be over before Trump’s scheduled State of the Union address, on February 4.

The House of Representatives officially voted Wednesday to send the articles of impeachment against Trump to the Senate and approved the House’s impeachment managers.

The vote to send the articles of impeachment to the Senate and approve the impeachment managers was 228-193. Democratic Minnesota Rep. Collin Peterson was the only Democrat to vote nay, breaking with the rest of his party. House Republicans all voted together.

Pelosi announced Wednesday the seven lawmakers who will serve as the House managers in the Senate impeachment trial against the president. (RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: We Asked Every GOP Senator About Impeachment. Seven Ruled It Out.)

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff is set to be the lead manager. The other managers include House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, House Democratic Caucus Chairman Hakeem Jeffries, Democratic Colorado Rep. Jason Crow, Democratic Florida Rep. Val Demings, Democratic Texas Rep. Sylvia Garcia, and Democratic California Rep. Zoe Lofgren.

The seven impeachment managers’ roles are very much like the roles of prosecutors, as the members are responsible for presenting the impeachment inquiries to the Senate and making the case as to why Trump should be impeached with the evidence they have gathered. Pelosi had previously withheld the articles of impeachment, saying she doesn’t think the Republican-led Senate will hold a trial that both sides can agree on.
