Nope, Chrissy, we still agree, because I think the debate is useful too. It gives everyone a chance to express themselves and let off a little steam.

But, it won't make any difference in the end. The political machine will continue rolling and covering its own ass(pardon my turn of phrase).

Gennifer got caught in that machine and was pulverized, same as Paula and Monica eventually. Nothing is stronger, its not about morals or who is right and wrong, its just the system we live in.

Oh dear, I'm starting to sound very cynical and opinionated, aren't I, time for meditation or some metaphysical pursuits. hehehe

O:-)

I even felt sorry for old Teddy Kennedy, who did rally behind the president and looked totally alone.

Well, he must have felt rather embarrassed, all things considered.

What will happen? I think Monica will stick by her affidavit and say she lied to Tripp. Bill won't change his story. After all, they can have spent as much time as the liked in the Oval Office after hours, but unless someone has a videotape of 'em actually going at it, I don't see how a sexual relationship can be "proved". I doubt whether even the dress (if indeed suitably stained) would be enough; some utterly absurd, but not scientifically refutable, "explanation" could be made. And remember how complicated the DNA stuff got on the occasion of the OJ trial? Starr really should leave that one alone, and may do so.

IF both stick simply to that and otherwise keep their mouths shut, and if another two dozen publicity-hungry women don't pop up demanding attention (though what's happened to Monica may make them think twice), then the whole thing may simply run out of steam in a few weeks. The public has a short attention span.
