Yes, that’s what is happening. People with mild cases may think it’s just a mild common cold, or be in denial. The virus may not be so kind to individuals to whom they may pass it on.

Looks like this is the latest for China. There are a few scattered cases in other countries. Interesting that they say those are pneumonia cases - mild ones that have been identified are “under observation”, I suppose.

Chinese health authorities announced that at least 1, 355 confirmed cases of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) had been reported in the country as of 5:40 pm Beijing time on Saturday.

The pneumonia situation had resulted in 41 deaths
