BCTel - January 19, 1998 ...Partnership with Internet service providers to deliver ADSL technology Burnaby, B.C. -- BC TELECOM is offering consumers a choice in Internet service providers with BC TEL MultiMedia Gateway, a high-speed Internet service for consumers using asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) technology. SympaticoT and 11 other Internet service providers throughout British Columbia will provide this service to their customers. "This partnership with ISPs is unique in Canada," said Roy Osing, BC TELECOM's senior vice-president of marketing. "It demonstrates our commitment to providing Internet users a choice and to developing the Internet industry in British Columbia."
