Still don't understand why you would think I have
alternate intentions...especially when I still have a sizeable
investment in this company. Thank you for the clarification
though. Sorry for being so sensitive...here is what I posted
on Motley Fool:

Here are the main points that have been discussed directly from
the mmwire release...There were other points also made regarding
tough competition from other titles at the time and thoughts about
how the high price may have impacted sales at launch, but I believe
these are the issues that have been discussed here the last couple
days.

TITLE: THQ LEARNS PRICE LESSON WITH SOMEWHAT LACKLUSTER LAUNCH
FOR PAX IMPERIA

"Publishers who price their titles at the high end of the market
may want to give those price tags a second look, following the
experience THQ [THQI] had launching its first PC title."

"Pax Imperia: Eminent Domain sold just 18,600 units in the U.S.
from its launch in the fall through Jan. 3, according to PC Data."

"Pax is now priced at $39.95 and that is likely to drop later this
year to $29.95. THQ will be "more aggressive" in pricing future
PC titles, [Alison Locke] adds."

"Still, THQ is pleased with the product's progress.ÿ "We're just
getting ourselves familiar with the PC market," Locke says.ÿ "This
has been a great start for us.""

"[DFC Intelligence Analyst] Cole agrees with the assessment of
Andrew Sispoidis, president of Pax developer Heliotrope Studios,
that the game appeals to hardcore gamers whose buying is less tied
to the holidays than are consumers generally.ÿ If the game can
maintain even its current level of 8,000-9,000 units sold/month,
it can be successful in the U.S. over time, Sispoidis says."

"Despite a somewhat lackluster U.S. performance, Pax has sold
better internationally, particularly in Germany, than it has
domestically, according to Sispoidis.ÿ PC Data does not track
international sales.ÿ Factoring in international sales, Pax is a
profitable title, he says."ÿ

Pax has sold better internationally, particularly in Germany, than
it has domestically, according to Sispoidis.

This statement alone, taken at face value as published, would tend
to support what Hainesda is saying. It tells me that the product
has sold at least (and probably more than) 37,201 copies through
January 3.
