<< All you have to do is take a look at MCRn's stock price. If they were making loads of money, surely its stock price would be at least over $5. >>

Are you naive enough to believe that you can judge the TOTAL profitability of either MCRN or DIMD by just their respective Voodoo card sales? Or do you simply think we're naive enough to believe you when you try to feed us your twisted misinformation?

MCRN's main business is selling motherboards Over 25 different models. Their 3D business is a tiny, tiny, tiny percentage of their overall sales. Tiny.

DIMD also has a catalog of at least 25 products, including 2D and 3D graphics cards (targeted at both entertainment and professional markets), modems, SCSI adapters, and sound cards. If you just look within its 3D graphics lines, they sell products based not only on 3Dfx Voodoo, but also the nVidia Riva128, 3DLabs Permedia 2 and GLINT, Mitsubishi 3DPro, S3 ViRGE, and Rendition Verite V2100. According to the conference call, the Monster 3D is their hot seller. If anything, I'd venture to say that Monster sales are buoying up the lagging profits of the rest of the lines, and are largely responsible for DIMD's profit turnaround from earlier in the year.

In both cases, you can't assume profitability (or lack thereof) is tied to a single product. In one, the impact is insignificant, and in the other the business is too diverse.

MCRN has a had laundry list of management problems thats got them to
where they are now, i.e. in the dumper! I'd say that the Righteous
3DFX card has been their saving grace, not their money-loser for god's sake!

Even look at the last news release at,
biz.yahoo.com, and figure it
out once and for all! Lets get past this MCRN non-topic can we?
