Thank you. I just got off the phone with CVO. And as I had expected, like all industry self-governing groups, their first concern is protecting their members.

They informed me of the proper process to file a formal complaint. It will take 8 - 12 months for the process and at the end of it, if he has done something wrong, then they will educate him to do better next time. Only if I can prove that he has been terribly negligent, then the disciplinary committee will speak with him.

But the one good thing that came out of the phone call was that I got his full name and confirmed that he is licensed. Apparently vets are not required to display their license and credentials.

I am not going to file a complaint b/c I don't want to tip my hand. I am going to sue him. Thanks for the law firm referral.
