<<Northforce, you can see the launch on television. Launches are always
broadcast via satellite. If you have access to the right satellite, you
can see it go. Call Globalstar LP Investor Relations, or even Boeing
Investor Relations and they could probably tell you the satellite and
transponder to tune in to.>>

Could someone please post the satellite and transponder that will broadcast the launch if they are able to locate the information? Thanks in advance.

The skin recontact with the payload would be the fareing that is usually jettisioned on the way up. The potential for recontact varies greatly from one type of payload to the next. It IS a cause for concern especially with a new payload configuration, timeline, and/or maybe a new trajectory. Most missions require jettisioning the clam shell fareing during powered burn but I don't know the specifics about the Skynet bird or the sequence for the G* birds.

I'm well aware of the potential delays. One mission I worked on took about 40 days for weather and just minor glitches during a time when a shuttle and an Atlas were also trying for launch. One mission would bump another. Then there is a two day delay to reconfigure the range and tracking stations when there is a change from one launch vehicle to another. So I might delay my vacation plans, if I learn there is a delay, but my wife is looking forward to the trip next week.
