>Too many wire taps, too much power concentrated in the federal
government/judiciary- both groups of unelected and unreachable officials . For e.g do you
know that the FBI runs 330+ "routine" wire taps/day in the State of Louisiana? That is 330
wiretaps that are not linked to a specific person or case- just kind of sweeping the airwaves
for potential "bad guys". I don't think that's a wise idea. Ever wonder how many fishing
expeditions law enforcement agencies are on in your State?<

You don't like concentrations of power at the federal level and you like FDR????

Doug, as a conservative, I would assume you have been keeping an eye on Clinton for some time. Do you really think this has to do more with his sexual behavior, or the perception among many Americans that there is probable cause to believe he has committed a number of actual crimes, stretching back to Whitewater? Paula Jones is certainly not alone in implicating him, and I am a little curious as to why you are singling her out. We cannot see the evidence judges are looking at, but there must be some or the case would not have proceeded along to this point.

Douglas

I can't agree with your conclusion. If a president is not responsible for his torts, we have monarchy. Any citizen should be able to sue any other citizen . Period.

Both President Clinton and Paula Jones has attained the highest rank in our society, ie., "Citizen".

I do agree with your other points. The Feds are violating individuals' privacy rights with impunity.

Also, the Federal judiary's a pet peeve of mine. The Constitution never authorized a Federal court system - only the Supreme Court.
Thus, the strengths the Founding Fathers were relying on to keep things in check - 50 separate autonomous states - have effectively been overridden - the so-called Federal preemption.

Basically we live in a fascist state when the Govt winks at privacy and private property rights so long as they can dictate the controls over them.

ciao,

Daniel
