He was very excited about the baby and she wondered why when she was pregnant, he had expressed none of the same joy.

What's to wonder about? Your mistress gets pregnant, you're scarcely gonna welcome it. Unwanted pregnancy isn't fun for any of the parties involved. He at least seems to have been responsible and supportive, which is something. Probably by the time Hillary got pregnant he was ready for a family.

You know, Carol, according to Gennifer the affair started when Bill and Hillary had only been married for eighteen months, well before they had Chelsea, and that he was already very unhappy in his marriage. I have also read independent reports that when Chelsea was a baby, Bill sung that country song, D-I-V-O-R-C-E, to her as a lullaby!

Does Gennifer deal in her book with why she thought Bill stayed with Hillary?

It is interesting how much fathers influence the kind of men we end up with. It is said that Jackie Onassis chose Jack Kennedy because he was much like her wild but exciting father.

Most intelligent, emotionally healthy women understand that it is wives, not mistresses, who hold almost all the cards in a relationship, and that being the wife is a more secure position. Are you saying that Gennifer didn't really understand the difference?
