off topic, I would appreciate it if someone could update me on status of class action lawsuit against Fidelity and Vinnik which was filed sometime in 1996. Thank you

larry, i think mu may be able to shave 5-10% off of their $4.70 net cost from last q. a safe bet, imho, would be between $4.20 and $4.45. asps are what right now? say they average $3.50 (generous, imho). and they sell 110 million chips. at a dollar loss each. with beaucoup inventory. and $30+- million (mu may fudge this for the q - though it will hit at some point) more than last q in depreciation and amortization.

then cut the $0.50 loss in half as a fudge factor in case any numbers are wrong. that puts mu as making $0.80 over the last year (now do you finally see why i said mu was absolutely freaking nutso at $50+)?

the dram glut is still in effect and all this positive press of a recovery is only going to prolong the agony.

however, xlnx said "next q will be great" for six qs before the brain dead longs figured out there was earnings attrition during that 18 month time frame.

how dumb are mu longs? place you bets ;-)
