Since our data update yesterday evening at 1900hrs HKT total infections in China Mainland have risen to 11791 from 9692 and globally have reached 11943 from 9823- up over 21% in both cases. On a rolling (basis latest 24 hour v previous 24 hr) the global rate of new infections is now 2120 versus the previous peak of 1771 on Jan 28. There is no sign of new infections topping out.

The number of new countries confirming cases has risen by 3: UK (2); Sweden (1) and Russia (2). In other countries outside China Mainland that had already confirmed infections cases increased in: Hong Kong (12 to 13); Singapore (13 to 16); Taiwan (9 to 10); Thailand (14 to 19); Japan (14 to 17); Canada (3 to 4); and Germany (4 to 7).

Fatalities rose to 259 from 213 - all in China - with the fatality ratio unchanged at 2.17%
