Dale,

You know that I think LAMR is a great short. So far I've only bought puts, though.

J. Kniss, who doesn't post on SI very frequently, reported being short:
techstocks.com

Possible danger areas:

The company's stock is closely held, which could represent a risk for a short squeeze.

Someone on AOL questioned if the CEO, Kevin Reilly, Jr., was related to the Louisiana political family. I have no idea.

Dale, I did look at LAMR and may short it. All these political problems will be bad for the market. It will result in power gains by the right wing which is historically very bad for the market. I may even reduce some equity positions in my long term portfolios, something I have not done in 20 years, will move to money market cash, I don't like long bonds now either. We can expect higher oil prices, higher interest rates, protectionism, and lower stock prices in my opinion.

As to the outcome for Clinton, I think he must resign whether or not he is guilty of the recent affair. He will never be able to prove his innocence (if indeed he is innocent) because of other indescretions which are true. There will be a continuing firestorm of new allegations that completely destroy his ability to govern. In the religous section of today's paper were claims that Clinton forced Flowers to have an abortion. It no longer matters if the allegations are true or not, the public wants to believe them. I think Gore will be President very soon.
