I hardly think that dead-beat dads are the root of all evil.

You asked for examples. I gave you a couple. They aren't the root of all evil, but they certainly don't help society.

For all I know "latch-key" kids make better human beings.

Oh please!!!

Before you laugh, look back in history and see that by far most EVIL deeds on Earth have not been brought about by individuals but by societies at the epogy of their developments.

I'm worried about here and now - my kids, my neighbors etc. What's an epogy anyway? A form of the word 'epoch'? What are some example of these evil deeds?

Peter,

The only excuse we could make for your ridiculous arguement is your age. If we, as a society, accepted your thesis then we would have a wonderful world of "people in heat" preying upon each other.

If you are suggesting that the behavior, which you appear to be condoning, is a symbol of a "developing society", then may God spare us the inevitable consequences.

Yes, we are the only species that has marriage as the core of family, the other species are still ambulating on all fours. Our species is expected to act responsibly, use rational logic, and provide for a civilized world and society. Just because some of our species cannot measure up to the highest of standards, does not, repeat, does not justify the rest of us to give up.
