I think more is up than compazine news. What gets me thinking is the 1000 new call contracts bought on the March 10 strike a few days ago. Essentially, someone has placed a $25,000 bet that he can make hay on an out-of-the-money contract with less than two months left to go. Of course, it could be a hedge, but I suspect otherwise.

I believe your instincts may prove correct. IVX receieved no coverage for or stock price reaction to clozapine or paxene, certainly drugs with more potential sales than prochlorperazine at $55,000,000 divided amongst four competitors. Isn't corporate news leaked to the press several days before an announcement so the press can get its story straight? This would explain the recent run-up unjustified by any news release.
