NSCP 3.02 vs Communicator 4.04 - DAve i used 3.02 for a long time, having both it and IE on my desktop. My son home from college downloaded 4.04 into a different directory, so i now have both nscp browsers available (this would solve the concern about going back to 3.0). I only use 4.04 now, finding it much smoother and faster. I am only using the browser capabilities of 4.04 and not the rest of the functions. all the bookmarks etc transferred.
<< are there reasons to believe the move (to give away the browser)was forced by an outside circumstance? >> you betcha - they were losing the war. and would continue to loss market share to big brother. So they are taking a major, but prudent market risk, in fact the releasing of the code may prove to be a brilliant tactical maneurver. He who controls the gateway can charge advertisers and search engines. NSCP has executed an end-run that changes the ball game. I cannot see MSFT releasing the code. If they did, it would significantly dilute NSCP's maneuver. I feel NSCP is a buy here. I bot at 24 before the drop and am holding. good luck. larrry
