Hi Paul...seems 250-300 bucks is average price for level 2 amongst the independant quote providers. Check out ATfinancial.com, and spcomstock.com.
Pcquote combined with Datek is my current setup; Datek has been promising Level 2 for ages, but i wouldn't hold my breath. The next stop is brokers that provide level 2 at a discount as part of their trading platform, often priced according to how much you trade per month. ABWatley.com and MBTrading are two I am investigating, and i am considering a switch to MB as soon as Ken's final verdict comes out ;-) I sell often in the first few minutes of open, and Datek is getting a bit erratic again due to the volume at that time, and the number of their clients, i believe. So my current rationale is that the extra 10 bucks per trade at MB is worth it if they can get me in or out exactly when i want to. Beats losing an eighth anyday.
