Jules V: Very nicely put. I am in complete agreement. The behavior of the media, the Starr prosecution team, and the let's-get-Bill crowd is perfectly understandable but reprehensible, in my view. I would not be a bit surprised if the sex allegations are accurate and can only shake my head at the poor judgment of someone in that position taking a risk with such poor odds and terrible consequences. It is a shoddy mess for the country. I am ashamed and feel let down by everyone involved. What have we become?

Jules V,

Re: "Finally. Says Clinton, he did not ask that intern to lie on her deposition, he asked her to lie in that position ...."

Jules, I think the real issue here is not whether they had sex, but
that Clinton has given a sworn deposition (in Paula Jones case) that
he and Lewinsky never had a "sexual relationship" ... I think he should
get on television and start his statement with "There is no controlling
moral authority ..." <ggg>

On Intel, I just saw this recent announcement by HP about their next high
performance workstation using the Deschutes 333mhz ...

"HP's Deschutes system blends top speed,

Product Review: Intel has once again released a processor that defines the high end of desktop
systems. The latest is Deschutes, a 333-MHz Pentium II chip that sits atop our benchmark
heap. The first system I tested, a prerelease Hewlett-Packard Vectra VL Series 7, is attractive
for its speed and reasonable price.

I was surprised and pleased to find that the Vectra VL completed our benchmark suite in record
time, 2 percent faster than its cousin, the HP Kayak XU PC Workstation, with dual 300-MHz
processors.

Jules V.,
RE:<<f) .......... But there's an asian crisis needing attention right NOW. >>

I thoroughly disagree. They need to cook in their own stew. The only true value of a country's currency is to let it float, and not mess it up with IMF money. Yes, put George Sores of of business!

I am sure glad that Milton Friedman agrees with me <VBG>
