thin client is another technology that is appropriate for certain job functions.
it doesn't fit well in mfg'ing except for dat collection,
but, banking, finance, insurance etc.
where you have banks o clerks keying in data..that's where you use thin client for.
but, there are inventions to come.
still need a pc.
and most mfg'ers cannot use thin client now for advandced systems.
i would hate t see mfg'ers deploy thin client to help with the transaction workers( data entry people). I beleive you should have a system that obsoletes all data entry.

no wave but it's a good deal and appropriate for allot of jobs.
like credit card celrks, insurance processers, loan processers,
any job where the person is in a few systems for inquiry and dat entry.
if you are in a relational db ERP and keep lots of window apps open and in allot of stuff...thin cleint not for you.
do net search on thin client..that will show you comparison charts
